TikTok safe zone checker
Drop a frame of your video. See which parts the app buttons, the caption and the top bar cover on TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts.
How it works
Drop an image or a video
Use a 9:16 screenshot or the video itself. It opens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
Pick the platform
TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. The shaded parts are where that app puts its buttons, caption and top bar.
Move what is covered
Keep your text, face and product inside the clear box. If something sits in a shaded part, move it in your editor.
What it does not do
- It does not find text for you. You check by eye.
- It does not change your video. You fix it in your editor.
- The zones are guides. Each app changes its layout, and long captions cover more.
- TikTok publishes its zone as a template file, not as numbers. The TikTok zone here is a measurement of that file, not a number from TikTok.
Questions
What is the TikTok safe zone?
It is the part of a 9:16 video that the app does not cover with its buttons, caption or top bar. Text and faces inside it stay visible.
Where do the numbers come from?
Reels: Meta's ads guide (keep 14% at the top, 35% at the bottom and 6% at each side free). Shorts: Google's Ads help diagram for 1080×1920 vertical video. TikTok: TikTok's in-feed safe-zone template, as measured by Socialync.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The file opens in your browser only. BlightBee never receives it.
Does BlightBee keep text in the safe zone?
BlightBee sets its hook text near the top of the frame, below TikTok's top bar. Check a draft here before you post if you are not sure.
BlightBee makes the video for you, with the hook text set below TikTok's top bar, and posts it to up to 7 platforms after you approve. Start free
